About the working visa in Australia
Australia does not issue any separate document called 'work permit', just like in the USA or other countries. For Australia, everything is included in the visa system.
The Skilled Migration Visa is a visa for those who are skilled in a profession, and which will allow you to work and live in Australia as long as you want; the visa can be renewed if you leave the country for a while. Skilled Migration Visa is for trained workforce only. To obtain it you must have completed a higher education institution or a vocational school. These schools must be recognized by the Australian rating board. Also, you must have work experience, which can be in another domain than the one your profession is submitted. It is highly recommended to read carefully the Skilled Occupations List (SOL).
To work in Australia you must know English at an advanced level – that is a condition for obtaining all work visas. If you do not know English too well, on your arrival in Australia you will have to follow some courses.
